ABOUT
Uhlendorf Innovations Africa is an organization providing innovative and sustainable approaches to challenges in Water, Income Security and Health particularly in the rural communities of East Africa.
It's no secret that Africa, particularly Eastern Africa, has one of the poorest people per capita for several reasons. This is prevalent in rural communities and despite countless interventions, this continues to remain a challenge. Perhaps less obvious is how this rural poverty is affecting the church, ministers, evangelism, sustenance and growth at an individual level, as a church, and communities around.
Uhlendorf Innovations is working with individuals and local church communities in championing solutions that leverage knowledge and resources already available locally, are sustainable financially, run over longer terms, are scalable and impact the rest of their local communities to spark development individually and as a community. This promotes community-centered solutions run in partnership with local communities reducing dependence on foreign aid and achieving impact continuity.
Some of the solutions/projects we are working on include rural farmer connectivity to regional and international markets( to mitigate exploitation by middlemen) for market information, produce supply, and acquisition of supplies at fair price rates through our AGRI-BRIDGE PROJECT, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS to connect individuals to resources and services critical to growth, development and expansion, SAFE WATER ACCESS facilitation through National Water Grid connectivity efforts, Water Harvesting interventions through equipment provision and connectivity, and Water Filtration technology & equipment provision to households to make locally available unhealthy water safe for drinking and use.
We are also developing an affordable product to tackle Period Health while still addressing U.T.I (Urinary Tract Infection) prevalence due to poor sanitation.
As a Christian based organization, it is our vision that by tackling challenges in Water, Income and Health in rural communities, we can empower ministers, pastors, churches and communities around them with the resources to preach, share and receive the gospel throughout East Africa.
