GIVING INFORMATION
Directions for giving to a person or ministry with Mission Dispatch.
To send a check, use this address:
Mission Dispatch
PO Box 641
Edmonds WA 98020
Note: please list the person’s name you want your donation to go to. Otherwise it will be deposited into the Mission Dispatch general account.
Electronic giving:
At the opening page of http://www.missiondispatch.org/
Skip the box “Add Donation” and go to “I’d like to give by”.
Stock Donations:
Giving stock and other publicly traded securities directly to Mission Dispatch, instead of selling them and then donating the proceeds, may offer you significant tax advantages by avoiding capital gains tax and providing an income-tax deduction. Publicly traded securities held for more than one year—such as stocks, bonds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and mutual funds—can be easily transferred to Mission Dispatch in a broker-to-broker transaction. When you make this direct donation, instead of selling the asset and then giving the proceeds, you are entitled to take an income-tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock as of the date of transfer. In addition, you potentially avoid the requirement of paying the capital gains tax that would have been owed if you sold the assets yourself. Prior to making a donation of appreciated non-cash assets, please first consult with your tax or legal advisor.
To make a direct donation of stock and request stock donation instructions, or with any questions, please click here.
All donations are processed after the 25th of each month. Each client receives the amount given for that month, less our MD service fee of 7½%, during the first week of the next month. Donations received by Mission Dispatch after the 25th cannot be processed until the end of the following month, so it’s good to get donations in before the 25th.
Thank you for supporting your chosen ministry through Mission Dispatch!
