About
My name is Nicole Elliott. I am a missionary living in Ukraine. I live just outside the capital of Kyiv, and work with battered women. Currently I teach English at a rehabilitation center for women in Kyiv and really enjoy what I do. I am always looking for those special "God moments" to be a blessing to others.

I knew God was calling me into missions in Ukraine during a short-term missions trip in the spring of 2001, and ever since then God has given me a love and desire to serve the people of Ukraine. In the past I was involved in ministry to orphans, but God changed my focus to work with those affected by domestic violence (which I might add is a HUGE problem here).

Now with the ongoing war, it is really hard to put into words the extent of my work and how many things I do here, but I live in Ukraine and continue to help those who have lost everything due to the war with food, clothes, medicine, gifts for children, and really any area where there is a need. Sometimes even I have a hard time explaining everything I’m blessed to be able to do.

Right now along with helping families who have lost everything in the most recent bombings and with getting wheelchairs for amputees I’m also helping an elderly couple who were introduced to me last fall. Their house burnt down a few months after the war started and they have been trying to rebuild. So these past few months I’ve been able to help them get their heated floors installed and today the next stage of the process was completed by getting the floors done to the point where the tiling can be installed (once it dries completely). I’m trying to help them so they can move in before the winter (which is supposed to be even worse than last winter).

Some nights I don’t get any sleep because the bombs keep falling. So yes, I can get pretty exhausted from lack of sleep.

But this is where I know I need to be.
And where I want to be!
