Meet Zach & Jovy Haarberg
Zach's passion for missions began at the age of seventeen when a friend invited him to serve in deaf schools throughout Bohol, Philippines. Between 2007 and 2013, he returned each year, and during those trips God deepened his faith while giving him a lifelong love for the Filipino people.
It was during this time that Zach met Jovy, who shared the same heart for serving Christ. After they were married, they lived in the United States for nearly seven years before sensing God's call to return to the Philippines as full-time missionaries. Today, they are blessed with two daughters, Zemirah and Eliyanah, who are growing up alongside them on the mission field and are an important part of their ministry journey.
Today, Zach and Jovy serve in Bohol, Philippines, where they are committed to sharing the hope of Jesus Christ through practical ministry and discipleship. Their ministry includes children's outreach, youth discipleship, Christian preschool education, community outreach, and encouraging local churches. Zach also has the privilege of preaching and teaching God's Word in churches throughout the region, while Jovy plays a vital role in caring for their ministries and investing in children and families.
Their desire is to see people come to know Christ, believers grow into mature disciples, and local churches be strengthened for the work God has called them to do. Whether ministering to children, mentoring young people, or partnering with pastors and church leaders, their goal is to faithfully share the love of Christ and make disciples who will impact future generations.
