At REALIFE Spokane, we are passionate about “Reaching the world for Jesus one person at a time by making disciples and planting churches in real relationship.”
As the Director of the Recovery and Outreach departments, it is my joy to be highly involved in meeting the real needs of our city while bringing people into contact with Jesus.
Our recovery programs include Celebrate Recovery, Pure Desire, and DivorceCare. People come to recovery broken and hopeless and find a God and a community who loves them unconditionally. In this loving environment, they experience Jesus and are changed from the inside out resulting in freedom. The goal of our recovery programs is not the program itself but to lead people to Jesus so that they can live their best life; the life that God has designed for them - one of freedom, joy, and peace. It is in that place of freedom people begin to look outward, joining in God’s mission of saving others from hell.
Our outreach consists of a Community Assistance right here in our city. We love to help people with physical needs such as rental and utility assistance as well as hunger through our food bank. When people come and enjoy these resources, they are met with the love of God and always have a chance to hear the good news of Jesus.
We have a non-profit called One Heart. One Heart exists to meet real needs of kids in lower income and at-risk neighborhoods. We do this through providing tangible and intangible needs. From shoes to relationships, we strategically invest in them to offer opportunities that will instill hope and purpose in them now and for their future. We also have a church plant in Ethiopia where we serve to raise up church leaders in relational discipleship so that they can affect their nation by making disciples as outlined and commanded by Jesus in Scripture.
